Soap Stars must:

• be at least 18 years of age

• be able to pass a general background check

• have a valid U.S. driver’s license and auto insurance in accordance with local law

• have access to a reliable vehicle or reliable transportation

• be able to lift up to 30 pounds

• have an iPhone (iOS 10 or newer) or Android (5.1 or newer) smartphone

• have a washing machine and dryer that are less than 8 years old

All Soap Stars will be required to use specific detergents from our recommended list. Further described during training.

Our customers occasionally send their own detergent, pods, and fabric softener. Due to this, our Soap Stars handle all types of detergents and fabric softeners. Soap & Soak customers may also have pets that may affect you or a family member’s allergies. If you’re concerned that these items may affect you or your family, this may not be the gig for you.

We ask that our Soap Stars are non-smokers. Our customers' laundry should NEVER be exposed to cigarette smoke at any time while in our care. If someone in your household smokes anywhere in your home or vehicle, the scent will affect the laundry.

If a customer complains about their items having a smoke odor, we then offer the customer a rewash with a different Soap Star. If we are able to confirm that the order has a smoke scent, the original Soap Star will not be paid for the order and their account will be closed immediately.

Bottom line, if you are a smoker or someone in your household smokes, you cannot be a Soap Star.
